Base metals rise on global cues

Industrial metals were trading higher at the LME following Europe's substantial bailout package of Spain's troubled banks.

Nickel and zinc spurted by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,095 and Rs 134 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,090 and Rs 129.

Copper sheet cutting moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 460 from Rs 457 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and copper wire bar all edged up Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 481, Rs 473, Rs 465 and Rs 509, respectively.

Brass utensils scrap and lead also inched by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 314 and Rs 122.
