Base metals slide on poor offtake

Most of the base metals including copper, brass utensils scrap, aluminium, lead and tin slid at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid lower demand from industrial users.
Tin and copper utensils fell by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,440 and Rs 318 from Tuesday's close Rs 1,445 and Rs 323.
Copper armiture and copper sheet cuttings moved down by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 339 and Rs 335 as against Rs 343 and Rs 339 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap eased by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 351, Rs 346, Rs 379 and Rs 265 as compared Rs 354, Rs 349, Rs 382 and Rs 268 respectively.
Aluminium ingots and lead edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 140 and Rs 135 from Rs 142 and Rs 137 previously.
Aluminium utensils softened by a Re per kg to Rs 117.
