Base metals slip on lower offtake

The industrial metals continued to rise at the LME over positive economic data from China.

Tin fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,305 from overnight close of Rs 1,310.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and nickel all declined by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 482, Rs 510 and Rs 1,052 as against Rs 485, Rs 513 and Rs 1,055 yesterday.

Copper scrap heavy, brass utensils scrap and aluminium utensils scrap all edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 474, 315 and Rs 112 from previous close of Rs 476, Rs 317 and Rs 114.

Copper armiture, copper utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting also softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 464, 440 and Rs 327, respectively.

However, Copper sheet cutting inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 460 from Rs 459.
