The project was inaugurated today by Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi at a function organised by the Residents Association 'Club Class' at Shah Auditorium.
During the programme, Bassi lauded residents of Civil Lines for their participation in such a project. The resident's association has installed 67 cameras spread in 16 clusters and covering over 2,000 households.
These are quality mega-pixel cameras with recording facility at each cluster and it would further be connected through Internet to provide viewing facility at any remote locations including a monitoring station set up at Civil Lines police station, a Delhi police official said.
