Actor Ben Affleck has promised his fans that his turn as Caped Crusader would not be similar to his failed attempt as a superhero in 'Daredevil, The Movie'.
Affleck, 42, will play an older, world weary Batman in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', a follow up to 'Man of Steel'.
"Indeed I have regrets about Daredevil. I have regrets about all the movies that I don't think were executed properly. Look, if I thought we were remaking 'Daredevil', I'd be out there picketing myself," Affleck told NPR in an interview.
"I'm hard on myself, and I have exacting standards and I want to do excellent work and I don't always succeed, but I think you have to start out with that drive," he added.
Affleck, whose casting sparked criticism by many Batman fans, is confident with his new role because there is "this sandwich of talents" involved.
"It was written by Chris Terrio, who wrote Argo, who's not a comic guy. And it's directed by Zack Snyder, who's an incredibly magical sort of visual stylist, who's steeped in the comic world."
'Dawn of Justice' will release on March 25, 2016. Henry Cavill reprise his role of Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams will return as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot is tapped as Wonder Woman, and Jesse Eisenberg is set to play villain Lex Luthor.
