BBIN friendship car rally reaches Tripura

Participants of the Bhutan-Bangladesh-India-Nepal (BBIN) friendship car rally today arrived at Tripura's Churaibari, on the Assam-Tripura border in North Tripura district. With 72 participants in 20 cars.
The 72 participants of the rally in 20 cars were welcomed by the Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dharmanagar, Shankar Debnath.
The rally started on November 14 from Bhubaneswar and would enter Bangladesh tomorrow through South Tripura's Belonia town, the SDM told reporters.
Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (BBIN) had signed a regional motor vehicle agreement, paving way of movement of both people and goods among the four SAARC member countries.
The agreement has three components - movement of individual vehicles, passenger vehicles and cargo.
Among others, Bangladesh Deputy Secretary, Home, Nirod Kumar Mandal, Nepal's representative, Dasharath Bishal and Bhutan's representative, Teshiang Rinjen were travelling with the rally.
