The BCCI finance committee met today in Chennai to intimate the members about various financial aspects during the current financial year.
It has been learnt from reliable sources that BCCI's profit from IPL 6 has been a whopping Rs 385.36 crore compared to profits amounting to Rs 174.73 crore in 2012 edition.
"The BCCI's profit has increased by Rs 210 crore approximately from IPL according to audited accounts. Also it has been noted that the affiliated units got something in the tune of Rs 32 crore during last year. Mr Srinivasan also apprised the finance committee that he will pushing for a bigger share for India at the board meeting and will tomorrow take working committee's approval," a finance committee member told PTI today.
The finance committe also approved medical bills of former India captain Ajit Wadekar amounting to Rs 5.33 lakh. Former Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary's medical expenses for treatment abroad was in excess of Rs 26 lakh while Sachin Tendulkar and Praveen Kumar's medical expenses are in the range of Rs 3.55 lakh and Rs 3.72 lakh respectively.
The committee also approved that secretary Sanjay Patel, Cricket Operations chief MV Sridhar, treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary, IPL CEO Sundar Raman will be allowed to use credit cards with credit limit of Rs 10 lakh.
