Headed by former BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah, the committee has been entrusted with the duty to ensure resumption of cricketing activity in Bihar.
The committee also has Goa CA secretary Vinod Phadke, Tripura CA secretary Sourav Dasgupta, Gujarat CA's Bharat Zaveri and BCCI's Game Development Manager KVP Rao (replacing an ill Prof Ratnakar Shetty, who will visit Uttarakhand, later this month).
According to reliable sources in the Board, it has been learnt that the Ad-Hoc Committee will be visiting the Moin-ul- Haq Stadium, which has the only turf wicket stadium in the state.
While it is still not decided but the committee members may also visit the bigger districts such as Samastipur and Muzaffarpur, places from which lot of untapped talent can be unearthed.

"The secretary has specifically asked that we have to give a report on how quickly we can conduct the trials for U-16, U-19 and U-23 cricketers. Since there hasn't been any cricket in Bihar for years, we are not sure what is the condition of infrastructure.
The BCCI is planning to re-induct Bihar into the BCCI's affiliates and associates tournament aomg with Meghalaya, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Chattisgarh.
