BDC member killed in clash between two groups

A Block Development Committee (BDC) member was killed in a clash between between two groups in a village in the district today, police said.
The incident occurred this morning in Mainapoothi village under Sururpur police station over a minor issue, when six men led by Sabu, son of Tausif, attacked the house of BDC member Matin.
While Matin (25) was killed on the spot due to a bullet injury, two others were injured, they said.
According to police, there was a small tiff between Sabu and the deceased's father yesterday.
The body was sent for post mortem and on the complaint of Matin's family members an FIR has been registered against accused Sabu and five others.
