The petition was filed by Congress MLA Arif Aqeel, who was declared elected as President of the BDCA in an election on February 13.
The other faction led by BJP MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh, who was President of BDCA before, boycotted the February 13 polls and held elections of its own.
However, the same was not accepted by the parent body, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) which recognised polls held earlier electing Aqeel as president.
The Congress MLA contended that the Association has a strength of 151 members while BJP MLA submitted a list of 252 members to the Registrar to prove that faction led by him has majority.
Aqeel alleged that a conspiracy was hatched to alter the voters' list under the pressure of the ruling party and challenged the order of Registrar Firm and Societies in the district court but it was dismissed following which he filed an appeal in the high court.
The single-judge bench of Justice Rajendra Menon directed to maintain status quo and issued notices to the Secretary MPCA, Registrar Firms and Society and Dhurv Narayan directing them to file their replies in four weeks.
