Bhopal Division Cricket Association (BDCA) president Syed Arif Aqueel has moved the Madhya Pradesh High Court challenging the Firm and Society's order that recognised BJP MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh as the unit's chief.
Aqueel, the Congress MLA from Bhopal North, recently moved the court challenging the decision by the Assistant Registrar, Firm and Society to approve rival group led by Singh as the BDCA governing body.
He has contended that the election for the BDCA executive body held by Singh was illegal.
Aqueel said that Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association had approved BDCA led by him few months back after an election.
He also alleged that Singh's faction was approved by the government under pressure.
