BDO goes underground after FIR in fund misuse

A Block Development Officer (BDO) went underground after an FIR was lodged today against him in a case of defalcation of Rs 2 crore of a minority development programme fund in Bihar's Kisanganj district.
The FIR was registered with the Sadar Police Station against BDO Thakurganj Peter Minj and Panchayat sevak Pramod Kumar Das on instruction of District Magistrate Aditya Kumar Das in a case of defalcation of Rs 2 crore of Multi-Sectoral Development Programme (MSDP) for Minorities.
The case was registered on the basis of the statement of District Minority Development officer Fateh Faiyyaz after a three-member panel found the allegation true, sources said.
Getting information about the FIR, the BDO has gone underground without applying for leave.
