"It is responsibility of all people's representatives to ensure our children do not suffer from any handicaps in development of skill," she said.

The Lt Governor asked the Director of Education to make surprise visits to schools, particularly in rural areas daily to know about the areas for development.
She said there was a vast difference in standard of education between students in villages and those in urban schools.
She urged the Director of Education L Kumar who accompanied her today to the school in town limits to partner with Labour Department to provide after school skill training programmes for students.
