She covered the nearly two km distance,accompanied by officials, from Raj Nivas to the garden, on her bicycle.
She also travelled in the 'joy train' in the garden' along with other visitors to the exhibition.
After visiting a stall earmarked in the flower show for the supporters of honey bee farming, the Lt Governor told the officials of the Agriculture Department, the organiser of the annual flower festival, that honey bee farming activity should be propagated among the members of the self-help groups.
She said the botanical garden was established by an eminent botanist G S Perottet in 1826.
