Simbu arrived at Kattur Police station this morning with his lawyer and father, producer T Rajendran and met the Assistant Commissioner and Inspector, police said.
Simbu later told reporters that he had answered all questions put by police, but declined to elaborate.
Maintaining that he was innocent, Simbu said he would extend full cooperation to police in their probe.
"The rest is in God's hands."
City police had registered a case against him in December last on a complaint by activists of AIDWA, claiming that the song was vulgar and portrayed women in poor light and asked Simbu to appear before it within 15 days.
While Anirudh had appeared before police in January and explained his position, Simbu had sought time and also exemption from appearance. He had moved court, which, however had directed him to appear before the police.
