Belgaum gang rape, murder of student extremely tragic: Tewari

Describing the brutal gang rape and murder of a college student in Belgaum as extremely tragic, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari today appeared to suggest that such incidents outside Delhi were not being focused by the media.
"Extremely tragic and sad the alleged gang rape and murder of a young college student in Belgaum, parts of India off the map of national discourse," Tewari said on micro-blogging site Twitter.
His reaction came a day after the reported incident of gang rape and murder of a 20-year-old college student in Sulebhavi village in Belgaum taluk of Karnataka by unidentified persons.

The incident did not get much hype in the media unlike such incidents that have been taking place in the national capital.
