Belgium evince interest in cooperation with Haryana

Belgium has evinced keen interest in mutual cooperation with Haryana in the field of food processing, renewable energy and technology.
Ambassador of Belgium, Pierre Vaesen, along with Counsellor, Economic and Political Affairs, Antoine Delcout, who made a courtesy call on Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today, discussed various issues of mutual interest and expressed desire to exchange business expertise between Belgium and Haryana.
Located close to the national capital, Haryana has a huge potential of development in several fields, Vaesen said.
Stating that Haryana had emerged as a favourite destination for investors to set up ventures, he expressed hope that both Belgium and Haryana could go a long way in sharing expertise in different fields of development.
Hooda told the Belgian Ambassador that during the past eight years, Haryana has witnessed rapid industrialisation with a number of Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) been set up and more coming up.
Referring to the interest shown by Pierre in food processing industry, Hooda told him that a world-class terminal market for fruits and vegetables has been set up at Gannaur in district Sonipat, which will cater to the needs of Delhi and adjoining areas.
Hooda also told the Ambassador that a nuclear power plant was being set up in Fatehabad district.
