Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) today signed an agreement with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), under the corporate affairs ministry, for partnering in various areas like CSR, Competition Law and corporate law.
"Under the terms of the MoU, IICA and BCCI would be partnering with each other in the areas of corporate social responsibility, Competition Law, corporate law, corporate governance, inclusive growth and sustainable development," the chamber said in a statement.
The MoU has also been created to build awareness on several aspects of the new Companies Act 2013, it said.
Kallol Datta, president of BCCI, said the MoU would be focusing on capacity building, training programmes, joint workshops, seminars and conferences.
"We look forward to working with IICA to organise awareness programmes and interactions. We shall also be working together to offer certificate courses and short-term training," he said.
