Bengal Global Business Summit a drama : Oppn parties

The opposition parties today termed the third Bengal Global Business Summit being organised by the the TMC government to showcase high growth story in the field of industrialisation in the state, as a "drama" and said it will complete the process of de-industrialisation in Bengal.
TMC hit back saying it was the misrule of the Left during which the flight of capital took place in Bengal.
"We have seen many summits in the last four years. But none of them bore any results. Rather those industries which were there in Bengal have closed down and moved to other states due to the misrule of TMC," Surya Kanta Mishra, the Leader of Opposition, said while commenting about the two-day summit beginning tomorrow.

"Until and unless the party which was involved in forcing industries out of the state is removed from power, no industry will come up here. This summit will complete the process of deindustrialisation of Bengal," Mishra who is also CPI(M) state secretary, said.
Bengal Global Business Summit 2016, a pet project of the chief minister to showcase the state's potential in industries, will put the spotlight on its capability and readiness to take on bigger and greater business challenges.
"It is nothing but a drama to fool the masses. No industry will come up in Bengal until and unless law and order situation in Bengal is taken care of," said BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh.

"Why will an industry come up in the state when there is complete lawlessness and syndicate raj," he added.

Referring to TMC's agitation against Tata Nano car project at Singur in 2006 when it was in the opposition, Mishra said it is an irony that the party which had destroyed the industrial prospects of Bengal is organising business summits.
He said if voted to power in this year's assembly election, the CPI(M)-led Left Front will go for industry at Singur by taking along all stakeholders.
TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee said the Left Front has no right to talk about industrialisation as it was during its tenure that the flight of capital took place in Bengal.

"What have they done during their 34 years of rule? It was during their tenure that the flight of capital has taken place in Bengal, several big industries have moved out of the state," Chatterjee said.
