Replying to a debate on the appropriation bill in the state Assembly, Mitra said that during 2010-11, the state's own tax revenue was Rs 21,000 crore.
This during the current fiscal, was projected to be Rs 45,413 crore.
Mitra said that during the three years of Trinamool rule, the state had done well in parameters like plan expenditure, capital expenditure, fiscal discipline and debt-to-SDP ratio.
He said the state's plan expenditure increased from 18.8 per cent in 2011-12 to 43.4 per cent in 2013-14.
The Minister said that there was improved fiscal discipline as reflected by fall in fiscal deficit from 3.38 per cent of SDP in 2011-12 to 3.08 per cent in 2013-14.
The state's debt/SDP ratio had also decreased from 39.5 per cent in 2010-11 to 35.33 per cent at present, he said.
