Bengali digital content platform 'Hoichoi' launched

With web series becoming the new trend, a one-stop digital content platform, 'Hoichoi', was launched tonight - which is home to the largest collection of the best in Bengali entertainment.
Members of the city showbiz fraternity attended the launch of 'Hoichoi' at a city five star hotel.
"Hoichoi's original web series cuts across genres like thriller, drama, horror, romance, comedy," said Vishnu Mohta, Co-Founder of Hoichoi and Executive Director of major production house SVF.
Hoichoi will also showcase some of the best acting talent of the Indian entertainment industry created by the SVF and ace directors, he said.
"Hoichoi is the ultimate destination for Bengali entertainment, with something on offer for every Bengali - young or old, movie buff or music lover, student or working professional," Mohta said.

'Hoichoi' is being launched with a strong content portfolio of original web-series, over 500 Bengali movies and more than 1000 Bengali songs for audio streaming to cater to the Bengali audiences globally," Co-Founder - SVF & Hoichoi Shrikant Mohta said.

"With the world gravitating towards android sets we decided to diversify into digital content with Hoichoi and created exclusive content for the same. The creative freedom this space offers is unparallelled," Mohta said.
Attending the launch, Bengali film superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee said web series is the new emerging medium and teenagers across the globe are hooked to it.
'Hoichoi' is powered by the international content distribution platform ViewLift and Amazon Web Services, the world's leading cloud computing solution provider and it will enable subscribers to stream videos seamlessly.

While Hoichoi app is available for download on Android and iOS, it supports viewing across all platforms - mobiles, PCs, laptops and tablets.
