"Yes, in 'Bidehi' by Tagore in Bengali I had sought to recapture how he was fascinated with the idea of the other world and sought to invoke the spirits. If it is called an effort to go back to a particular era, my sojourn with periodicity goes on," the 'Chhayajuddha' director told PTI at the premiere of the Zeenat Ahmen-starrer.
Sanghamitra, who rated 'Kahaani' by Sujoy Ghosh as one of the recent Hindi films retaining lot of Bengali sensibilities including certain typical phrases, said films like 'Parineeta' by Pradip Sarkar and even 'Barfi' had such elements.
Strings of Passion, starring veterans Rajesh Sharma, Indrani Halder and new actors Sangita and Shubh, was premiered in Mumbai and Kolkata and released here and in some other cities.
