Coating major Berger Paints India has induced consumer centric measures and services including 'Express Painting' to duck slowdown in growth in the paints industry.
"The paints industry growth is 7 per cent. Our growth is 8.2 per cent in the current fiscal so far. This is down from 18 per cent CAGR in sales in the last five years," Berger MD & CEO Abhijit Roy said today.
He said for the full financial year (FY2015-16), the growth for the company could be around 10 per cent.
In order to create greater brand loyalty, the company has undertaken the consumer service, he said.
Berger Express Painting uses technology and tools to do the painting for a faster, cleaner and better job.
Despite this, there would be no additional cost burden to consumers, Roy claimed but added the company will not have any direct control on cost of painting.
