Berger Paints Q3 net profit up 37% at Rs 101 crore

The company had posted consolidated net profit of Rs 73.37 crore during the October-December quarter of last financial year

Berger Paints today reported a 37.80 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 101.11 crore for the third quarter ended December.

The company had posted consolidated net profit of Rs 73.37 crore during the October-December quarter of last financial year.

Berger Paints' net sales during the quarter under review increased by 10.17 per cent to Rs 1,074.07 crore from Rs 974.89 crore in the same period of the previous financial year, the company said in a BSE filing.

In a separate filing, Berger Paints informed that its board in a meeting held today has declared an interim dividend of Rs 0.65 per equity share of Rs 1 each, fully paid for the financial year 2015-16.

"This will entail an out go of Rs 45.08 crore on account of interim dividend (excluding dividend distribution tax)," it added.

Berger Paints shares today closed 1.55 per cent up at Rs 268.20 apiece on the BSE.
