The station was selected for the award, presented during the 49th Annual Rice Group Meeting held at Hyderabad in the first week of this month, from among 14 centres across India, TNAU Vice-Chancellor Dr K Ramasamy said in a release today.
In its different research programmes at the station, several rice geno types have been identified for higher photosynthesis, nitrogen and water use efficiency under varied situation, Ramasamy said.
