Best teacher award's prize money increased to Rs 25,000

The Maharashtra government officially announced here today that it has decided to increase the prize money for the best teacher award from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000.
The increase would be with retrospective effect from 2012-13.
An amount of Rs 15,000 would be given to winners, it was announced.
