Betting racket busted in Karnataka; 4 held

Police today claimed to have busted a cricket betting racket with the arrest of four persons and seizure of items worth Rs 21.20 lakh from them.
Acting on information that the four persons were involved in cricket betting, the arrest was made by Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) yesterday, police said.
The four accused were picked up from a car near the jail road from where they were taking bets on the outcome of an ongoing match, they said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sreejith Shetty (27), Prajeeth (27), Prasanth (33) and Rajesh, residing in and around the city.
Police has seized the car, a motor-cycle, six mobile phones, a laptop and Rs 4.90 lakh.
