BGR Energy standalone net dips 68.3 per cent in July-Sept

Engineering, procurement and construction major BGR Energy Systems today posted 68.3 per cent decline in stand alone net profit to Rs 9.51 crore for the July-September period of 2014-15 year.
The Chennai-based company had reported a net profit Rs 30.02 crore during the corresponding period of previous year, a company statement said.
Total income from operations for the quarter ending September 30, 2014 dipped to Rs 694.25 crore from Rs 826.28 crore registered during same period of previous year.
The decline in standalone net profit was due to higher manufacturing costs incurred during the quarter ending September 30, 2014 compared to same period of previous year, a company spokesperson told PTI.
The construction and EPC contracts segment contributed over 92 per cent to the revenues at Rs 639.24 crore. The focus on execution and collection of receivables across all the projects enabled the company realise EBIDTA of Rs 72.27 crore, it said.
As of September 30, 2014, the company carried over an order book of Rs 10,634 crore, the statement said.
