Bharathiar Nano Innovation Centre (B-NIC) aimed to translate and inculcate the spirit of innovation and creativity among the young researchers of the University here, will be inaugurated by Dr G James Pitchai, Vice-Chancellor of the University, on September 9, a vartisy release said today.
The centre will bring nanoscale products to the industrial world, opening up a new window for upcoming research students and scientists for realization of their innovative and creative ideas, the release said.
Nanoscience and technology is an emerging research field which has highly promising prospects for turning fundamental research into successful innovations.
There is an increasing demand for high quality nanomaterials and devices for research and industrial applications and the University is gearing up for fulfilling the quest for nanomaterials of the research society, the release said.
