Along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, she reviewed various projects including the Ken-Betwa River Linking Scheme which has been declared a national project, besides similar projects in the neighbouring Chhattisgarh state.
"Madhya Pradesh has done a commendable job in raising its irrigation potential which also led to higher foodgrain production," Uma said, adding that demands have been raised to include Bargi in Jabalpur district as a national project.
She said that she would also organise similar meetings in other states to review projects related to her department.
She praised Chouhan for keeping the Narmada river free of pollution.
Bharti said that Narmada is the least polluted river in the country since a lot of efforts were made to prevent it from getting polluted.
