Bhathinda-Jammu-Srinagar gas pipeline to create 20K jobs:J&K

The Jammu and Kashmir government today said Bhathinda-Jammu-Srinagar natural gas pipeline (BJSPL) project will create over 20,000 jobs for the unemployed youth of the state besides attracting investments which will help in the overall economic growth of the state.

Pertinent to mention here that GSPL India Gasnet Ltd is laying Bathinda-Jammu-Srinagar Natural Gas Pipeline in the J&K State.While speaking on the occasion, Hamid said Gas pipe line project will provide natural gas pipe line connectivity to Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Ramban, Anantnag, Srinagar district of the State.
He said the gas pipe lines will be laid 1.5 meters Below the land and farmers can even sow their crops. He said after the completion of the project, cooking gas will be available in the kitchens through pipeline.
While addressing the gathering, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kathua S P Rakwal said that compensation in the form of rent will be given to the people whose land will be notified under the gas pipeline project. He added that the project will create thousands of job opportunities for the unemployed youths.
District Administration, Kathua, headed by ACR organised one day awareness camp for people of four villages namely Bhagthali, Taraf Manjli, Taraf Tajwal and Taraf Bhagwal whose land is coming under the Bhathinda-Jammu-Srinagar natural gas pipeline network at Government High School, ward no 12 at Kathua today.
