Patil, who presented the "Krishi Gaurav Awards" at Wada in the Palghar district last evening, gave this suggestions as farmers are facing problems in paddy cultivation.
"I urge the farmers to switch to mechanised farming. I also request them to cultivate vegetables, fruits and other products which will bring in good revenue," he said.
BJP National council member Om Prakash Sharma and large number of farmers were present on the occasion.
