"We are organising various programmes, including camps for cancer examination, drawing and slogan competition among others, to raise awareness on the issue of hazardous effects of consuming tobacco on the occasion of World Anti-Tobacco Day on May 31," Bhopal Collector Nishant Warwade told reporters.
The day will be observed with the cooperation of social organisation Bhopal Runners in collaboration with the district administration.
The Collector also informed that they have introduced fine ranging from Re one to Rs 200 against persons consuming tobacco at public places.
He informed that recently he himself has imposed fine on few persons on the collectorate premises.
