"The state government should replace Sinha with a sensitive, doctor-friendly and practical official to address the problems of the government doctors," BHSA Secretary Ranjeet Kumar said.
The government doctors posted in the hospitals in the districts should also be freed from 'slavery' of the district magistrates and a fair working atmosphere be created for them to discharge their duties, he said.
The state government should also implement the agreement with the BHSA in 2008 and notifify the DACP/ACP of the government doctors besides regularisation of the doctors hired on contract and they should be given regular salaries as other benefits.
Kumar said that the government doctors thoroughout the state will launch 24-hour long strike in the hospitals, including the emergency services, on July five next if all their demands were not met by the state government by then.
