Gaganjeet Bhullar and Jeev Milkha Singh rounded of their final round with modest effort of 71 and 74 to finish inside top-60 at the Lyoness Open, here today.
Bhullar finished with a total of three-over 291 to finish in a tie for 50th place, while Jeev finished with a total of five-over 293 in tied 59th place. They had earlier shot 72 each in their third rounds.
Mikael Lundberg, trailing the overnight leader and defending champion, Joost Luiten by four shots coming into the final round, fired a brilliant seven-under 65 with eight birdies and one bogey to get into a play-off with Bernd Wiesberger.
Both were tied at 12-under 278 and in the tie breaker played on the par-3 18th, Lundberg knocked in a birdie and Weisberger conceded when he could not get his birdie putt down.
Luiten was left to rue his patchy front nine, where he had three bogeys against two birdies and ended with an even par 72 that was sufficient to only get him to 11-under and short of the clubhouse target set by Lundberg.
Wiesberger, who played with Luiten played in the final pairing, bogeyed the 16th and was unable to find a birdie in last two holes which would have given him the title outright.
Luiten missed on getting into the play-off after being unable to find a birdie in any of the last three holes. Luiten ended third Lee Slattery (66) finished fourth at 10-under 278 and veteran Miguel Angel Jimenez (67) was good enough for tied fifth with Fabrizio Zanotti (71) as he continued on his remarkable season at the age of 50.
