The third day of the FDCI India Couture Week saw girl power in full swing as two Bollywood actresses - Bhumi Pednekar and Athiya Shetty - strutted their stuff on the runway.
Incidentally, both Bhumi and Athiya, who made their Bollywood debut in 2015, are awaiting the release of their second films -- "Toilet:Ek Prem Katha" and " Mubarakkaan", respectively.
While Bhumi turned showstopper for Reynu Taandon, Athiya helped designer duo Shyamal and Bhumika showcase their ICW debut collection.
Bhumi, who wore a silk taffeta royal blue floor length jacket and and a matching lehenga, said, "I am very comfortable. Modern Indian brides like comfortable silhouettes. I feel like a princess who can dance in their heels."
Amid a live performance by a Rajasthani folk singer, Reynu presented her line 'Cyan', which was inspired by the hues of the monsoons.
Talking about her line, Reynu said, "I have used a lot of gold foiling. Ninety per cent of the clothes are in handloom fabric, most of which is chanderi. I have also inculcated a bit of lace to add that sheer factor and silks."

For their debut at ICW, Shyamal and Bhumika chose to showcase their collection titled 'The Princess's Soiree'- which was a blend of traditional crafts with modern day sensibilities.
The highlight of their couture line were strong European detailing, Victorian inspirations and Baroque styles.
The collection consisted of gowns, sheer tulle capes, ruffled blouses, frills, belted waists, kalidaar jackets & lehengas in the hues of champagne golds, ruby wine, verdant green, coral blue & the black.
