Bhutanese media professionals to visit India

India has invited Bhutanese media professionals to visit the country this month as part of efforts to familiarise and enable them to understand the working of the Indian media.
The visit has been organised by Bhutan Media Foundation from November 16 to 24 on the invitation of the Indian Embassy here and the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Bhutanese team of editors, senior journalists and radio jockeys from private media groups will visit New Delhi and Chennai to understand the working of the media in India and to strengthen networks of friendship with Bhutan, a release from the foundation said.
Besides the opportunity to interact with Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh and representatives of Indian media houses, the team will also be visiting important landmarks such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Mahabalipuram and Kalpakkam Atomic Power Station.
They will also visit important institutions such as Parliament, Asian Institute of Journalism at Chennai, and the Infosys campus.
