A five year agriculture road map for Bihar would be unveiled by President Ramnath Kovind soon to further improve the farm sector which is the backbone of state's economy, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said today.
He said that 76 per cent of population of the state depends on agriculture and hence a comprehensive road map has been devised for enacting widespread reforms in the sector.
"A request has been send to President Ramnath Kovind for launching the state's agriculture road map 2017-22. The date would be decided soon for the launch," Kumar told a function here.
The CM listed progress made in the implementation of 'seven resolves' of good governance which promises free electricity connection, sewage, toilet and drinking water to every household.
He also referred to the "success" of prohibition in the state and the launching of the campaign against child marriage and dowry on October 2.
