Bihar BJP charts out roadmap of programmes

The two-day meeting of its state executive ended today with the state unit BJP charting out a schedule ahead to keep people updated about achievements of the NDA government at the Centre and the alleged shortcomings of the Grand Alliance government in the state.
Briefing reporters about outcome of the Bihar BJP's state executive meeting held over two days at former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi's official residence here, the state unit BJP chief Mandal Pandey said the party has chalked out round-the-year programmes beginning with celebration of its foundation day on April six and culminating in founding leader Kailashpati Mishra's death anniversary on November three next.
In between, the Bihar BJP will stage dharna at the district headquarters from April 7-10 next to highlight the farmer's woes followed by celebration of B R Ambedkar's birth anniversary on April 14 next which will be observed as social amity day and there will be feast hosted at block level, he said.
The Bihar BJP will organize dharna at the district headquarters from April 18-21 next against rising crime graph and price rise, the state unit BJP chief said, adding the spurt in crime was a fact under the Grand Alliance government, while the price rise has escalated due to imposition of various taxes on 600 goods by the Nitish Kumar regime.
Pandey said that the state unit BJP will launch mass contact programme and related functions at the assembly segment level for six days between May 26 to June 1 next to mark completion of two years of the NDA government at the centre.
The event will be followed by 'Yoga Day' at the division level on June 21 next, while Jan Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's sacrifice day will be observed at booth level on June 23 next, the state unit BJP chief said.
The Bihar BJP will organize booth level functions to mark Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya's birth anniversary celebrations from September 25 to October 11 next, he said, adding the party's final engagement of the year will take place on November 3 next to observed Kailashpati Mishra's death anniversary on which the senior party leaders and workers will be felicitated, he said.
The two-day BJP state executive was attended among others by the Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Radha Mohan Singh, Giriraj Singh, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Ram Kripal Yadav, besides the state unit incharge Bhupendra Yadav.
