CAB had last month moved the Bombay High Court challenging the constitution of the two-member commission set up by the BCCI and IPL governing council for probing the spot-fixing/ betting scandal.
Srinivasan and the Board of Control for Cricket in India filed reply affidavits.
The CAB's PIL alleges bias by Srinivasan in constituting the panel in the light of allegations against him and the fact that he is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of India Cements, owner of IPL team Chennai Super Kings.
Srinivasan and BCCI, in their affidavits, have sought dismissal of the PIL, calling it "motivated". CAB has no right to file such a petition as it is not a member of BCCI, they claimed.
The division bench headed by Justice S J Vazifdar would hear the petition next week.
Srinivasan's affidavit says, "It is a motivated petition filed with an ulterior/oblique motive of forwarding personal and vested interests. The petitioner is a disgruntled litigant who has filed the petition as a personal attack on me for the acts done by me as part of the management of BCCI. This has clearly been done to extract vengeance against the management of BCCI for having denied the petitioner membership.
