Unhappy with the Indian Cricket Board's (BCCI) negligent attitude towards giving full membership to their state, Bihar Players Association (BPA) today threatened to "lock up" BCCI headquarters in Mumbai and protest outside its secretary Anurag Thakur's residence in New Delhi.
Headed by Mritunjay Tiwary, BPA had earlier protested outside the residence of president Jagmohan Dalmiya in Kolkata last month and Tiwary claimed that the Board supremo had assured them to send an observer to Bihar to look into the matter.
According to Tiwary, BPA's next stop will be the capital where they will protest outside Jantar Mantar and "gherao" Thakur's residence on August 12.
"As of now, nobody has come and about 1000 Bihar cricketers would march to Delhi. We'll also request our MPs to put up this matter in the Parliament," Tiwary said.
As a last resource, BPA will protest outside the Cricket Centre in Mumbai on August 20.
"We'll continue our protest till our state is given full membership. We will gather our cricketers outside the BCCI headquarters on August 20," Tiwary warned.
