The order was issued by Food Minister Shyam Rajak after a state-level review meeting of his department here.
Rajak told officials to lift foodgrains allocation for February in January itself, according to a release issued by the Food Department.
During the meeting, officials informed the Minister that almost 85 per cent of the lifting work for February has been completed by now.
Rajak told them to complete the exercise by January 15,the release added.
The Minister instructed officials of districts to ensure timely lifting of foodgrains with the assistance of Food Corporation of India so that there is adequate amounts of it for distribution to beneficiaries on time.
In the light of complaints that at some places vehicles loaded with foodgrains do not have GPS installed on them,Rajak instructed the Managing Director of state Food Corporation to ensure that they had it.
Rajak also said that food weeks be observed in all districts regularly, otherwise action would be initiated against the concerned district supplies officer.
