Bihar to produce 8500 mw in five years: Chowdhury

"Once all the power projects will be implemented Bihar will generate 8500 mw and become a leading power generating state in the country," Chowdhury said after inspecting the on-going work of two power projects in Navi Nagar in Aurangabad district.

For the Indian Railway Power Generating Company Limited, 1328 acres of land against the required 1597 acres had already been acquired, he said.
