Bihar will benefit most from 2017-18 central budget : Sushil

Hailing the 2017-18 union budget for being aimed to boost employment for youths and being pro-poor and pro-farmer with thrust on improving rural economy, senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi today claimed that Bihar stands to benefit the most from it.
The budget has incorporated measures like alleviation of poverty from 1.5 crore panchayats, allocation of Rs 29,000 crore for construction of one crore houses for poor, provision of Rs 20,000 crore under Pradhan Matri Grameen Sadak Yojana and Rs 16,000 crore for construction of toilets and electrification of all villages by May 1, 2018, he said in a statement.
Sushil Modi said a poor and backward state like Bihar stands to gain the most from enhanced allocation in central funds for housing, toilet, road and related schemes.
Bihar will also gain substantially from the centre's proposal to enhance allocation of Rs 2.44 lakh crore as against Rs 1.22 lakh crore last fiscal to the banks for distribution of loans to farmers, entrepreneurs under Mudra Yojana scheme, he said adding this will boost economic activities in the state with the farmers here set to take maximum advantage of crop insurance scheme for which a sum of Rs 13,240 crore has been proposed in the budget.
The people of Bihar, including the farmers would benefit from provision of loan for farmers, computerization of Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS), dairy processing units under the hiked allocation of funds for banks for loan distribution under Mudra scheme, he said.
The Narendra Modi government has also tried to curb black money in political system by limiting cash donation to Rs 2000 only per donor and proposing to issue electoral bond for use by political parties, the senior BJP leader said and lauded the Centre for curbing annual purchase with cash amount at Rs three lakh saying that the measure will deter loan defaulters.
Sushil Modi hailed the centre's budgetory proposal to to spend Rs 1.31 lakh crore for development of railways and provisioning for Rs one lakh crore for setting up railway safety fund.
