Seemandhra Lawyers' JAC Co-Convener Muppalla Subba Rao, lawyers and students organised a one-hour bike rally which passed through Devi Chowk, Kambala Chervu, Kotagummam and other places, shouting slogans in favour of a "united" Andhra Pradesh.
Rao demanded MPs submit a letter to the President of India stating that they would withdraw support to the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre and mount pressure on the Centre to issue a statement in favour of a "united" Andhra Pradesh.
He alleged the government has deployed 24 battalions of police forces in 13 districts to control the "united" Andhra Pradesh agitation and police have been deployed at residences of VVIPs, MPs and MLAs houses as a precautionary measure.
"Though advocates participating in the stir face severe financial problems, they decided to agitate for the sake of people in Seemandhra people and fight for a united Andhra Pradesh," he said.
