Bike rider dies after being kicked by horse in Hyderabad

In a freak incident, a 44-year-old man driving a bike died and a pillion rider sustained injuries after a horse 'kicked' them when they were passing by it in Mailardevpally area here, police said today.
Hameed Shah Khan, who was riding the bike, was kicked by the horse when his two-wheeler was passing by the animal, last night, police said.
He died on the spot and the pillion rider sustained injuries after falling on the road, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shamshabad Zone) P V Padmaja told PTI.
A complaint has been lodged by the family members of the deceased.
"It is still not clear whether the bike first hit the horse or the animal kicked the riders," she said.

The horse rider identified as one Sohail has been arrested, the DCP said.
The injured has been admitted to a state-run hospital, said the officer.
