Bose was speaking at a rally in the city practically blowing the bugle for the panchayat election in West Bengal scheduled for next year.
"We have to put up a fight against the divisive, anti-people policies of TMC in the state and the BJP at the Centre. We need to fight against both of them by uniting the masses," he said.
The Left parties along with its outfits under the banner of Bengal Platform for Mass Organisations (BPMO) had started a 15-day, mass-contact programme across the state from on October 22.
Bose said the manner in which people have come out in support of BPMO rallies in various parts of the state reflected people's anger against the state government.
He mocked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for visiting various industrialists in Mumbai and said investments will not come to the state just by meeting industrialists.
Banerjee was on a two day trip to Mumbai and had met top industrialists and bankers ahead of the fourth edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit, to be held in Kolkata in January, 2018.
