Bimla Pradhan adjudged best MLA of Jharkhand Assembly

BJP legislator Bimla Pradhan was today adjudged the best MLA of Jharkhand Assembly for the year 2017.
A committee comprising Speaker Dinesh Oraon, BJP MLA Nirbhay Sahabadi, Jai Bharat Samanta Party MLA Gita Koda and Convenor of Press Advisory Committee of the Assembly Chandan Mishra unanimously chose Pradhan as the best MLA.
"The award will be given on November 22, the foundation day of the Jharkhand Assembly," said Sahabadi.
The leader of the Opposition Hemant Soren informed the speaker over phone that he would go by the committee's selection, Sahabadi told reporters.
Pradhan is the second woman to bag the honour after RJD's Annapurna Devi who had been adjudged the best MLA in 2005.

The committee also chose five employees of the assembly -- joint secretary Tez Narain Pandey, Assistant Buddhadev Yadav, Reporter Abhiram Chandra Mazumdar, public relations officer Gulam Mohammad Sarfaraz and driver Krishna Oraon -- for their meritorious work.
