The decision to re-elect both Bindra and Pandove, who is also the chairman of the National Cricket Academy and Special Academies, was reached during the 64th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Association at the PCA Stadium in Mohali yesterday.
The members at the AGM recorded the highest appreciation for the work done by the present team in taking PCA to the pinnacle of glory in the cricketing circles and reposed their full confidence in their continuing leadership, a release from the PCA stated today.
Other office bearers appointed during the AGM include Viswajeet Khanna (honorary treasurer) and G S Walia (honorary joint secretary).
Justice (retd) S S Sodhi, Punjab's Director General of Police S S Saini, D P Reddy and B K Mehta were selected as vice presidents.
The executive members elected during the meeting include Mohit Khanna, Surjit Rai, Vinod Chitkara, R P Pandove and Mohinder Singh.
The newly elected executive will meet on August 3 at the PCA Stadium to appoint the various sub-committees for looking after senior and junior cricketing activities for the year 2012-2013, the release added.
The executive will also meet to make coaching training programmes for the cricket camps. (MORE)
