Singh recently opened up about his 18-month battle with bipolar disorder where he was in house in Noida.
Vinnil, however, adds even though the "High Heels" singer was going through a difficult time, he never gave up.
"The entire phase of bipolar disorder was very difficult for Honey but he did not give up. He was focused on getting up and coming back to do what he loves even during those times. I had visited him at his home and I am very happy he is back," Vinnil told PTI.
The director says even he was flooded with queries from people about his whereabouts as a celebrity's life is under scrutiny.
